
The challenge
Nordisk Film, Scandinavia’s largest cinema operator, set out to transform the in-theatre ticketing experience for moviegoers. With a focus on modernisation, efficiency, and convenience, they needed a sleek, future-ready solution that could be rolled out across their entire Danish cinema network. The system had to support self-service ticket purchasing, integrate with digital payment options, and print physical tickets—streamlining the overall customer journey while reducing queue times and pressure on staff.

The strategy
KT Group partnered with a trusted Danish distributor to deliver a tailored self-service kiosk that would become the Simplicity model. Designed for operational ease and flexibility, the kiosk included front access for fast maintenance, optional VESA wall mounting or pedestal installation, and integration with digital payment systems and thermal ticket printing.
The first deployment at Palads in Copenhagen featured 12 kiosks, combining ticket and refreshment sales in one user-friendly interface. The success of this flagship rollout set the standard for national expansion.
